Your experienced bridal stylist starts by exploring the wedding details: the venue, the season, any gowns that have caught your eye online, and anything you’ve already crossed off the list. Equipped with that brief, they choose gowns from across the store to match your vision, and they’ll often add a few you’d never have selected yourself but that they think will suit you.
In the fitting area, you try on each gown with your guests (generally up to three, however larger parties can be accommodated upon request), while our stylists remain on hand to assist with buttons and lacing, and to illustrate how varying fabrics and silhouettes flatter your figure.
At Stane, we never watch the clock, nor do we expect any decisions to be made during your visit. Certain brides discover their perfect gown during that initial consultation, whilst others opt to return for a follow-up appointment to refine their choices.

Our complete designer collection offers sample gowns spanning UK sizes 6 to 36, making sure every bride is catered for. Throughout your appointment, you will try gowns on in your true size, and once you have made your selection, your selected dress will be made to order.
Can I bring guests to my bridal appointment?
Bring up to four guests, and should you need more, get in touch and we’ll try to make it work. Most brides come with their mum, a sister, or a few close friends, but the choice is yours. Some brides attend on their own initially, then bring others to a second appointment after shortlisting.
How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?
