Set to discover the gown of your dreams? Wedding gown shopping at Bijoux begins with a 90-minute appointment that’s entirely yours from start until the end! Your skilled bridal stylist begins by chatting through the big day: where’s the venue, what’s the season, any gowns that have grabbed your attention online, plus the styles you’ve already ruled out. Then comes the enjoyable bit! They’ll handpick gowns from across the boutique that fit your brief, and they’ll usually throw in a few wildcards you’d never have chosen yourself but that they reckon will look breathtaking on you.
Inside the fitting area, you try on each gown together with your guests (typically up to three, however larger parties can be catered for upon request), whilst our stylists stay on hand to help with buttons and lacing, and to illustrate how various fabrics and silhouettes complement your figure.
At Hirst, we never watch the clock, and we don’t expect any decisions to be made during your visit. Certain brides discover their dream gown during that very first consultation, whilst others prefer to return for a second appointment to refine their choices.

Certainly. Every bride receives a private 90-minute consultation with her own dedicated stylist, and we carefully restrict how many consultations run simultaneously so the boutique stays calm and unhurried. To secure your appointment, reserve online or call us on 01698 200 122.
What sizes do you stock?
Our sample gowns cover UK sizes 6 to 36 across the complete designer range. During your consultation, you’ll try on dresses in your true size, and we then create your chosen gown to order.
Can I bring guests to my bridal appointment?
You are welcome to bring up to four guests, and should you wish to include additional companions, please reach out to us and we shall endeavour to accommodate your request. Many brides choose to bring their mother, a sister, or a few close friends, though the choice rests entirely with you. Some favour attending the initial visit alone, returning with loved ones for a follow up appointment once their selection has been refined.
How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?
We suggest you schedule your initial appointment around 12 to 18 months prior to your wedding day, as most designer bridal gowns take between four and six months to be dispatched after ordering. If your big day is closer than that, please do still get in touch.
Within our boutique you will discover countless numbers of gowns available, a range of which may be taken home on the same day, and rush production can likewise be arranged through a number of our designers.
Do you sell bridesmaid dresses?
