A timeline for every journey down the aisle
Ready-to-Wear: £499 to £999, same day
A Ready-to-Wear gown leaves with you on the day you buy it. The process couldn’t be more straightforward.
Nothing gets ordered, and nothing gets delivered later; you try it, you pay, you take it home.
It suits brides who can’t wait to walk down the aisle, and it’s our most affordable way into a genuine designer gown at Bijoux.
Quick Delivery: around twelve weeks
Quick Delivery is the accelerated route: a gown made specifically for you and never worn before, ready in around twelve weeks instead of the usual five months a Made to Order gown takes.
Pricing sits between the other two routes, reflecting that faster production window, though the gown itself is every bit as custom as one that takes months longer to arrive.
Made to Order: around five months, plus alterations
Five months covers production on this route, and fitting adds another six to twelve weeks on top once the gown lands.
Working back from a wedding date, seven months out is the point most appointments get booked from.
Price runs highest on this route, reflecting the full lead time involved, though the selection available through it stretches noticeably further than either of the other two routes.
It’s the route brides choose when they want to savour every part of the journey to the aisle.
Comparing the three collections properly
None of the three routes gets more attention from our stylists than the others.
A £499 gown and a full Made to Order gown both get the same ninety minutes, the same shared fitting space, and the same honest advice throughout.
Where they actually differ is timing and price ranges, which makes the wedding date the natural starting point for working out which one fits.
A date under three months away rules out Made to Order on timing alone, whatever the budget looks like.
A date a year or more out opens up all three, at which point cost tends to decide it.
Somewhere in between, Quick Delivery tends to be the route worth checking first, since it splits the difference on both counts without ruling anything out too early.
Ready-to-Wear for special pieces
Ready-to-Wear gown is typically either an ex-sample that’s been tried on in-store or an ex-display piece taken off the floor when a style changes over.
A sold Ready-to-Wear piece rarely returns to the rail afterwards.
Restocking a sample isn’t standard practice at Bijoux, so what you see on a visit this week is what’s there, and once it is taken, it typically won’t return.
If a style online has properly caught your eye in the Lookbook, book sooner rather than putting it off.
A few weeks’ delay can mean it’s already gone by the time you get in to try it.
Sizes are also more limited in this collection, since most pieces exist as a single one-off dress rather than a full size run.
Getting an accurate price before you visit
Ready-to-Wear pricing is fixed and published: £499 to £999, no negotiation and no hidden extras once you’ve chosen your dream dress, whichever designer the gown happens to carry.
Quick Delivery and Made to Order pricing depends on the specific designer and gown, so an exact figure only comes once you’ve found the dress.
Our stylists will give you that figure honestly before you commit to anything.
Telling our stylists your rough budget at the start of the appointment saves time. We never want you falling for something outside your reach, and it means our stylists can guide you straight to gowns you’ll love within your range.
It also narrows the field to one or two routes straight away, instead of walking through all three from a standing start.
Budgeting beyond the dress itself
The price on each route covers the gown itself.
Alterations, accessories, and any little additions are priced separately, once there’s an actual dress in front of us to base it on.
It’s worth asking for a rough alterations estimate around the same time you’re comparing gown prices, just so there are no surprises later on.
Our stylists can usually give you a good sense of it once they’ve seen the dress on you and how it currently fits.
Accessories and looking after your dress
Accessories sit outside all three routes and are priced on their own too.
Headpieces, veils, gloves, collars, and other finishing touches are all available, so your whole look can come together without needing to shop elsewhere.
A veil or headpiece can complete your look, allowing you to make a dress fully yours.
Once your dress is bought or ordered, Bijoux also offers a storage service for those interested.
We can keep your dress safe, protected and unseen in our boutique until closer to your wedding day, so there’s no need to find space for it at home in the meantime.

Ready-to-Wear runs £499 to £999. Quick Delivery and Made to Order both sit higher, since each gown is made specifically for the bride ordering it rather than bought as stock.
Can I try all three routes in one appointment before deciding?
Yes, absolutely! Gowns from all three sit on the same floor, and our stylists will point out which route each dress belongs to as you try them.
Does a longer wait always mean a better dress?
No. It means a wider selection and a gown made specifically for you, not a difference in how it’s finished or how it’s fitted. A Ready-to-Wear gown gets the same care as a Made to Order one.
Changing your mind partway through
There are two things we’re most proud of at Bijoux: the welcoming, celebratory environment we’ve built, and the huge selection we can offer every bride.
It surprises many that a bride who books a Made to Order appointment can end up choosing Ready-to-Wear instead, once she sees what’s on the rail at that price.
The reverse happens too, walking in expecting a same-day dress and leaving with an order placed instead.
Nothing about the appointment locks you into the route you booked under.
The three exist to be compared in person, not just read about beforehand, and our stylists work from whatever you’re actually drawn to on the day rather than the plan you arrived with.
Switching between routes mid-appointment doesn’t cost anything extra either.
The price simply follows whichever gown and whichever route you end up choosing on the day, not the one you walked in thinking you wanted.
