Made to Order: The Heart of Our Collection
Made to Order is the heart of our collection, and for brides with time to savour every step, it is a beautiful way to find your wedding dress. You choose from our complete range of designer gowns, and from the day you place your order, your dress is made especially for you.
Depending on your chosen gown, there is also wonderful scope for personalisation, with options such as colour changes and, in some cases, the opportunity to adapt the fabric or neckline to suit your vision perfectly, depending on the designer and style you fall in love with.
The appointment begins with a warm conversation.
Our stylists will ask about your wedding, your venue, the feeling you’ve been quietly imagining, and the styles that have been capturing your attention.
From there, they draw together a carefully chosen selection of gowns from across the boutique for you to try for yourself, in front of the people you hold dearest. Our sample sizes cover a wide range, and our stylists are experienced at clipping and pinning to show exactly how a gown will look on you before you place your order.
From that careful selection of gowns through to your final fitting, every step is built around you.
Your dress is made to your measurements, in the fabric and style you fell in love with during your appointment, and when it arrives it will have been made for no one else.
Your Made to Order Timeline
We recommend beginning your journey with us nine to twelve months before your big day, to give yourself the luxury of time to find the gown that was always meant to be yours.
When your gown is ready, we invite you back to the boutique for a dedicated reveal appointment.
Your dress comes out finished, you try it without clips or adjustments for the first time, and it is a moment that deserves time in the diary.
Ready to Wear: Your Dress, Today
Ready-to-Wear is for the bride who wishes to leave the boutique with her own gown.
The collection is built around immediacy and style, bringing together ex-sample dresses from our designer ranges alongside brand-new gowns, all available to try on and take home the same day.
Priced from £499 to £999, Ready-to-Wear is for the bride who wants to spend cleverly.
When the budget is directed towards the venue, the honeymoon, or the guest experience, this collection gives you designer quality at a price that leaves room for everything else.
Your appointment begins with a warm conversation about your wedding, your vision, and the styles that have been drawing you in. From there, our stylists hand select gowns from the rails and guide you through the potentials.
The collection spans ballgowns, mermaid shapes, fit-and-flare silhouettes, and relaxed flowing designs, with ex-samples from our designer ranges sitting alongside brand-new styles that have come directly from our designers. Each gown is a single piece, and once it leaves the boutique, it is typically not restocked.
Previewing the collection before you visit
Signing up for the dedicated lookbook lets you browse the Ready-to-Wear collection before your appointment, build a shortlist, and arrive knowing which styles you want to try first.
The collection changes with every appointment, so check it close to your date for the most accurate view.
Size availability in Ready-to-Wear is more limited than in our Made to Order collection, so an earlier appointment gives you the widest choice of the styles you are interested in.
Weekday appointments are free, with a small charge for weekend slots.
If Your Timeline Is Around Three Months
For brides who want the full experience of a brand-new gown arriving made especially for them, but whose timeline sits closer to three months than seven, there is a perfect middle ground.
The ordering process follows the same path as Made to Order. You visit the boutique, try gowns with our stylists, choose the one you fall in love with, and place your order.
Approximately 12 weeks later, your gown arrives and you return to the boutique for a dedicated reveal appointment.
The anticipation of waiting for your dress, and the moment you first see it finished, is every bit as special as it is in our Made to Order collection.
Customisation options are more limited within the shorter production window, so most design changes are not available on this timeline. The gown’s quality, construction, and designer detail remain exactly as you would expect from our ranges, with no compromise on the finish.
Brides who assumed the full bridal experience was out of reach on a shorter timeline will find this collection was made for them. The anticipation of a dress arriving made especially for you, and the reveal when you first see it finished, belong to this journey as much as any other.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get a wedding dress?
For a Made to Order gown, production takes approximately 24 weeks from the day you place your order. Booking your first appointment at least seven months before your wedding date gives enough room at every stage. For shorter timelines, our other collections are designed to work within tighter schedules, and our stylists will advise on what’s achievable from your date.
Can I get a wedding dress at the last minute?
Yes. Our Ready-to-Wear collection has gowns available to take home the same day. For a wedding around three months away, there’s also the option of a brand-new designer gown on a shorter lead time of approximately 12 weeks. Get in touch with your wedding date and we’ll advise on the best route for your situation.
What happens at a Bijoux Bridal appointment?
Every appointment starts with a conversation between you and our stylists about your wedding, the venue, the look you have in mind, and the styles you’ve been drawn to. From there, the stylists pull gowns from across the boutique and work through the options with you. You can also browse the rails yourself at any point. You’re welcome to bring up to four guests.
