Equipped with that brief, they select gowns from across the store to match your vision, and they’ll typically add a few you’d never have selected yourself but that they reckon will suit you.
Sample everything on in our changing room with your guests, as many as three guests with space for more on request. Our experts are available to help with buttons, lacing, and explaining how assorted fabrics and silhouettes suit your figure.
At Stepps, we don’t watch the clock, and we don’t expect any decisions to be reached during your visit. Certain brides discover their perfect gown during that very first consultation, whilst others prefer to return for a follow-up appointment to narrow down their choices.

What sizes do you stock?
Within our full designer collection, sample gowns are stocked in UK sizes 6 through 36. During your appointment, you will try dresses in your true size, and your selected gown is then made to order.
Can I bring guests to my bridal appointment?
You are welcome to bring up to four guests, and should you wish to include additional companions, please contact us and we shall endeavour to accommodate your request. Many brides choose to bring their mother, a sister, or a few close friends, though the decision remains entirely yours. Some brides prefer to attend the initial appointment on their own, then invite loved ones to a follow-up visit once they have refined their choices.
How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?
It’s a good idea to schedule your first appointment roughly 12 to 18 months before your wedding day, as most designer wedding gowns require four to six months to be dispatched after ordering. If your big day is nearer than that, please still reach out to us.
Inside our boutique you will find hundreds of gowns available, a range of which may be taken home on the very same day, and rush production can likewise be arranged through a number of our designers.
