Bridal gown shopping at Bijoux begins with a exclusive ninety minute appointment that is entirely yours from the very start to the very end. Your experienced bridal stylist begins the conversation by chatting about your wedding day, including the venue, the time of year, any gowns that have grabbed your attention online, and any styles you have already dismissed. With these specifics in mind, she carefully selects gowns from all around the boutique that align with your description, and she will usually introduce a few unanticipated choices that you would not have picked yourself but that she feels will suit you stunningly.
Set to start trying on? Trying on the dresses happens in a fitting area with your companions (up to three people, and we can accommodate more on request!), where our talented stylists are always nearby to help with buttons, lacing, and describing exactly how different fabrics and silhouettes work with your figure.
At Scone, we don’t watch the clock, nor do we expect any decisions to be reached during your visit. Certain brides find their ideal gown during that initial consultation, whilst others choose to return for a follow-up appointment to refine their choices.

As soon as you have finalised your choice of gown, our independent seamstress takes over to take the reins. Owing to her close working rapport with the boutique, your seamstress is already well-versed in the dress, the designer’s construction techniques, and exactly how the gown should sit.
Their expertise encompasses everything from hemming and bustle work through to more detailed alterations, such as adding sleeves, reshaping a neckline, restructuring a bodice, or including lace detailing to personalise the design.

Do I need to book an appointment?
Absolutely. Every bride is welcomed into her own personal 90-minute appointment with a personal stylist, and because we intentionally cap the number of fittings happening at once, the boutique stays a serene, unhurried sanctuary throughout your visit. What sizes do you stock?
Within our complete designer collection, sample gowns are available in UK sizes 6 through 36. During your appointment, you will try on dresses in your true size, and your chosen gown is then made to order.
Can I bring guests to my bridal appointment?
Bring along up to four guests, and should you need more, reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate. The majority of brides come with their mum, a sister, or a few close friends, but the choice is yours. Some brides attend on their own initially, then bring others to a second appointment after narrowing down their favourites.
How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?
We recommend booking your initial appointment around twelve to eighteen months before your wedding date, as the majority of designer bridal gowns require four to six months for delivery following the order being placed. Should your wedding fall within a shorter timeframe, please do still reach out to us.
Hundreds of dresses are available in store, with many available to take away the same day, and rush production is on offer through a number of our designers.
Do you sell bridesmaid dresses?
Absolutely. We stock bridesmaid dresses from labels that match beautifully with our bridal collections, offering a variety of colours, lengths and fabrics.
