Bridal gown shopping at Bijoux begins with a dedicated 90-minute appointment, all yours from the moment you arrive until you leave. Your seasoned bridal stylist opens by quizzing you on the wedding details: the venue, the season, any gowns that have piqued your interest online, and anything you’ve already crossed off the list. Armed with that brief, they select gowns from across the store to meet your criteria, and they’ll usually include a few you’d never have selected yourself but that they think will suit you.
Within a private fitting area, you and your companions, typically up to three with additional capacity available upon request, are invited to sample each piece, whilst our stylists remain on hand to aid with buttons and lacing, offering thoughtful guidance on how different fabrics and silhouettes complement your figure.
At our boutique, time slows down and there is truly no pressure to commit on the day itself. Some brides uncover the gown of their dreams during that initial appointment, whilst others revisit for a second visit to narrow down their choices.

Their proficiency includes everything from hemming and bustle assembly to more substantial modifications such as adding sleeves, refining a neckline, reshaping a bodice, or including lace detailing to personalise a gown.

Do I need to book an appointment?

What sizes do you stock?
Our sample gowns are available in UK sizes 6 to 36 across the full designer collection. During your visit, you will sample dresses in your true size, and once you have selected your favourite, it will be made to order.
Can I bring guests to my bridal appointment?
You are welcome to bring a maximum of four guests, and should you wish to bring more, simply let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. The majority of brides opt to bring their mum, a sister, or a few close friends, but the decision is completely yours. Some brides choose to attend the first appointment alone, then bring others along to a second appointment once they have narrowed down their choices.
How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?
It is a good idea to schedule your first appointment roughly 12 to 18 months prior to your wedding day, as most designer wedding gowns require four to six months to be dispatched after ordering. If your big day is sooner than that, please do still get in touch.
Hundreds of dresses are waiting in store, with many available to take away the same day, and rush production is available through several of our designers.
