Dress shopping is a major step in your wedding journey, and we understand that having to fit a dress appointment around the week, alongside work and other commitments can be quite the challenge.

On top of that, the four guests you want to bring along may also be only available on the weekend.

That is why we made the decision to strip the fee on Saturday appointments so you can book it completely free on a Saturday.

Our weekday appointments were already complimentary, and from now on every bridal appointment at our Hamilton boutique is free, whichever day suits you best.

Why we made Saturday wedding dress appointments free

Our brides loved our complimentary weekday appointments, and many have asked whether we could make our Saturday bridal appointments free too.

For brides who work Monday to Friday, Saturday is frequently the only day that works, so it made no sense for it to be treated any differently from a weekday.

So, as we always listen to you, Saturday appointments are now also free (Yay!)

Your loved ones are welcome to come along on a Saturday as well, which means everyone can celebrate as you step out of the dressing room for a stunning dress reveal.

From now on you can book a bridal appointment with us on a weekday or a Saturday without paying a fee, so the only decision left is which date suits you and the people you would like beside you.

A complimentary Saturday appointment is the same 90 minutes as any other, with a glass of prosecco on arrival, expert style advice from our stylists, who will listen to what you are looking for in a wedding dress and bring your vision to life. Helping you find a dress that’s unmistakably yours.

If you are getting married in 2027, a free Saturday appointment is an easy way to begin your dress search at your own pace, and you can come back for another look whenever you like.

If you are getting married sooner, our ready to wear and quick delivery are our other fantastic options, all included in the free Saturday appointments.

What happens in your 90-minute bridal appointment

You arrive to a glass of prosecco and a relaxed conversation with our stylists about what you love and what you are drawn to.

Don’t worry if you have no idea where to start, our stylists will help you with choosing some dresses you may want to try and you are welcome to browse the rails too for some inspiration.

There is no pressure to choose a dress there and then, the appointment is for you and works around you, so take your time to have a look around and to share your ideas with us, we are so excited to work with you in this part of your journey!

If you have a clear vision in mind, we will pull dresses from across the boutique after the initial conversation to match what you envisioned for your ideal wedding dress.

Other brides are trying on gowns nearby, which makes you part of the Bijoux community from the moment you arrive, surrounded by people who are all there to cheer you on while you find your dress.

Our stylists clip and pin each gown to show how it will look on you, and with sizes from UK 6 to 36 in store, every bride gets to see herself in the styles she is drawn to.

Don’t be surprised if our stylists suggest a dress that is a little unexpected either!

Who to bring to your Saturday appointment

For the appointment, you can bring four of your favourite people.

Mums, siblings, friends, maids of honour make wonderful company. This day is about you so you’re in complete control of who you want next to you when choosing your dream dress.

Less than four people also works perfectly and some brides prefer their own company and love themselves some ‘me time’ when trying on wedding dresses.

Other brides will be trying dresses too and cheering you on as you try the dresses.

Brides visit us at 50 Castle Street from all over Scotland, and a Saturday gives the whole group time to make the appointment a proper celebration at our bridal shop in Hamilton.

As Scotland’s largest bridal boutique, we have hundreds of designer gowns in store across three collections that suit different timelines.

Ready-to-Wear gowns go home with you the same day, Quick Delivery brings a brand-new gown in about 12 weeks and Made-to-Order is designed especially for you over roughly 24 weeks.

Brides with a late 2027 wedding date often have time to select from all three, and anyone marrying sooner can start with the gowns that need no waiting.

You can say yes to your dream wedding dress at your first appointment or take your time and return, because nobody at Bijoux will pressure you into a decision, and every appointment is complimentary.

Do I have to pay to try on wedding dresses at Bijoux?

Trying on dresses is part of your complimentary appointment, so there is no fee on weekdays or on Saturdays.

How long is a Saturday bridal appointment?

Every bridal appointment lasts 90 minutes, which gives you time to try on plenty of gowns and talk through your ideas without watching the clock.

Am I expected to buy a dress at my appointment?

There is no obligation to buy and no sales pressure, so you can decide on the day or go away and think it over.

How many guests can I bring?

You can bring up to four of your favourite people.

Can I take my dress home the same day?

Ready-to-Wear gowns can be taken home on the day, while Quick Delivery and Made to Order gowns are ordered for you and collected when they arrive in store. Allow 12 weeks for quick delivery and about 24 weeks for the made to order dress to arrive. We have options that suit most timelines so you don’t need to stress about it.
