When we officially launched our Disney Fairy Tale Wedding collection, we knew we wanted to do something a little extra special to give our new collection (and our brides-to-be) the excitement it deserves!
And we thought, what could be more magical than a giveaway to Disneyland Paris for a romantic getaway in the city of love?
We asked our brides to share their proposal stories with us, and we weren’t quite prepared for how moving the stories you sent in would be.
After reading through every single one, we finally chose our winner, and we couldn’t be happier to share it with you!
A huge congratulations to Julie Fitzgerald and her fiancé Owen! Here’s the love story that stole our hearts.
A Timeless Love Story
Julie was completely swept away when Owen surprised her with a proposal on their favourite beach in Crete, the same place they spent their first ever holiday together.
Returning to somewhere so sentimental made the moment even more meaningful, and Owen kept the whole proposal a surprise, even picking out Julie’s gorgeous engagement ring himself!
He couldn’t have done a better job!
But what really added to their love story is how far back it goes.
Julie and Owen were together for a year when they were just 13 years old, and stayed close friends after that. The childhood sweethearts found their way back to each other at 22 and have been inseparable since.
As Julie put it, “what’s for you, won’t go past you.”
It is a beautiful love story, well worth celebrating!
We were completely touched and can’t wait to see their love continue to blossom throughout the years.
A Bijoux bride-to-be
Julie found her dream dress with us last year, helped by our wonderful Morgan.
She and Owen are due to get married next year, and we cannot wait to see the photos of her walking down the aisle in the stunning gown she selected.
We’ve asked Julie to send the team lots of photos from the trip, so we can celebrate her win with her!
