Every bride gets a dedicated ninety-minute slot with our stylists, with a glass of fizz included. Standard bookings come with four guests, with plenty of time to browse our collection and find the dress of your dreams.
We’re Scotland’s largest bridal boutique, based in Hamilton, roughly eighty miles south of Dundee. Hundreds of designer wedding dresses fill the rails, in sizes 6 to 36, ready for you to try on.
What to expect at the Bijoux boutique
The appointment itself is simple. Book your slot and tell us a little about your wedding and the dresses that are piquing your interest. Then come in and try on as many gowns as you like.
Our stylists start with a chat about what you love, then pull a first selection from across the boutique.
You’re welcome to walk the rails yourself too, at your own pace.
The fitting areas sit close together, with other brides and their parties nearby, all part of the Bijoux community on the day.
You don’t have to decide on the day. A second visit is always an option if you’d rather go away and sit with a few favourites before ordering.

We stock a dozen designer labels, from Justin Alexander and Maggie Sottero to Stella York and Morilee, with Allure, Essense of Australia, Veni Infantino and Tania Olsen rounding out the collection. We’re also Scotland’s Premier Stockist of Veni Infantino, formerly known as Ronald Joyce.

Ready-to-Wear gowns cost £499 to £999 and go home with you the same day, with no waiting at all.
Quick Delivery and Made to Order both give you a brand-new gown made especially for you, just on longer lead times.
Sizes 6 to 36, and how fittings work
A bride at any size can try on something close to her own measurements. Sample gowns cover UK 6 to 36 across the boutique.
If the sample on the rail runs a size or two off your own, our stylists clip and pin it during the appointment.
That gives you a preview of how the made-to-order version will sit once it’s finished.
Essense of Australia’s EveryBody/EveryBride line covers sizes 18 to 36. Every pattern in that line starts from a curvier figure from the first sketch.

Alterations and tailoring from our independent seamstress
Every Made to Order gown needs alterations once it arrives.
That work goes to one independent seamstress, who knows the boutique’s designers and their patterns well.
Depending on the dress and design, her work ranges from a simple hem to bigger changes like adding sleeves or adjusting a neckline. Our stylists will always let you know what is possible before you say yes to your dress so that it is the perfect vision.
Most alterations take six to twelve weeks.
Fittings happen along the way, to check the fit as the work progresses and catch anything that needs a second look.
Those fitting appointments happen in the same boutique where you found your dress originally, with the same seamstress each time.
Accessories and finishing touches
Veils, headpieces, sashes, and other finishing pieces fill the accessory rail next to the bridal gowns.
Dresses and accessories together make a full bridal wear look, all in one visit.
Veils and headpieces tend to wait for a later fitting, once the gown itself is settled. That way you see the whole look assembled together in one go.
Stylist advice at every appointment
Our stylists follow current bridal fashion closely, with an eye for what suits a particular shape and colouring built up over years of fittings.
Each appointment is built around what you’re drawn to. That could be an exquisite lace ballgown, an elegant sheath, or something more modern and pared back.
We pull designs you’re interest in, alongside some dresses you might be surprised to find you love!
Our biggest goal is always to have you walking down the aisle in a dress you have only ever dreamed about!
How much time to leave before your wedding
Made to Order gowns take around five months to arrive, plus six to twelve weeks for alterations once they’re in the shop.
Add those together, and we recommend booking your first appointment seven months or more before your wedding date.
Running shorter on time doesn’t rule Bijoux out.
Quick Delivery gowns arrive in around twelve weeks. Ready-to-Wear dresses go home with you the same day you visit, whatever the date on your invitations.

Bijoux isn’t based in Dundee itself.
The boutique sits at 50 Castle Street in Hamilton, just off the M74, with free parking right outside the door for every visit.
For train travel, Hamilton West is a few minutes on foot from the door, with regular Glasgow Central connections. The car stays optional either way.
Hamilton is within easy reach of Perth, Perthshire, Glasgow, and Edinburgh as well as Dundee. The location sits close to the M74 and M8, so the drive works from most directions.
