Bridal Accessories
We know that by the time you’ve said yes to your wedding dress, the veil or headpiece can feel like yet another big decision to make. At Bijoux Bridal, we want to help brides find the bridal accessories they love in Hamilton store. We have a limited set of appointments available from 26th September to 21st November, so make sure you book with us before they’re gone!
Our collection of bridal accessories covers veils in every length, from short blusher styles through to cathedral veils that reach past the train, alongside headpieces chosen to sit with them. Our Bijoux stylists, will be with you, guiding you through the whole appointment.

A veil changes how a dress looks from behind and in every photograph taken during the ceremony, and seeing it against your gown in a mirror, with someone who knows how each style falls, is the simplest way to get the perfect finishing touch right.
Accessory Season Appointments, 26 September to 21 November
For a limited season, running from 26th September to 21st November 2026, you can book a 30-minute bridal accessories focused appointment at our boutique and spend that time exploring all the veils and headpieces we have on offer.
The appointment is open to all brides, whether you found your dress with us or somewhere else, and you’re welcome to bring up to two guests.
The £10 booking fee is fully redeemable against anything you buy on the day, so if you leave with a veil the fee simply comes off the price.
Bijoux Bridal Accessory Season Offer
We’re excited to introduce our offer to our brides this accessory season. Where any veil you purchase from us during the appointment is 15% off, and if you choose a veil and headpiece together the pair is 20% off instead.
If you have any questions on price or our stylists will tell you the full price of each piece before you decide anything.
What Bijoux Bridal’s accessory appointment for?
Accessory season appointments are for a dedicated time to focus on trying on and finding the perfect accessories for your dream day.
If you’re a Bijoux bride, your dress reveal appointment is the moment to style veils and headpieces against the gown itself, and our stylists will happily do that with you then.
The accessory season appointment suits brides who want dedicated time on the finishing touches before their dress arrives, and brides who bought their gown elsewhere and would like a veil fitting with our stylists.
Wedding veils and headpieces in our bridal accessories collection
Bijoux stocks a range of bridal veils and headpieces, so you will have the opportunity to try on different pieces to uncover what works best with your wedding dress.
Wedding veils
Veils are named by length, so a blusher covers the face through the ceremony, fingertip and waltz lengths fall around the hip and the knee, a chapel veil reaches just past the hem, and a cathedral veil extends well beyond the train for the most formal look.
Edge finishes matter almost as much as length, because a raw cut edge falls softly and suits a modern wedding gown, a lace edge ties a veil to a lace dress, and pearl or beaded trims catch the light as you move down the aisle.
If you’d like to read up before you visit, our guide to wedding dress trains and bridal veils goes through every length and edge style in detail.
Headpieces
Combs and hair vines tuck into an updo and almost disappear into it, tiaras and headbands sit across the crown and show from the front, and single pearl pins are the lightest touch of all.
Our selection of bridal headpieces takes in each of those styles, so you can try them side by side.
A minimalist crepe gown will often carry a bolder headpiece than a heavily beaded one, because there’s nothing on the dress competing with it.
Our stylists will show you what works with the neckline and silhouette of your dress, and with the hairstyle you’re planning too, because a comb sits very differently in a low bun than it does in loose waves.
What to bring to your accessory focused appointment
Bring photos of your dress from the front and the back, and if you have a fabric swatch or the designer’s style name, bring that too.
Our stylists know the gowns on our floor well, but a photo of the actual dress means we can match the shade of ivory and the type of lace far more closely.
If you already own the earrings or wedding jewellery you plan to wear, wear them on the day.
Come with your hair roughly as you’re planning it for the big day, or with a photo of the style you’ve booked, as this will help you better envision the accessories you like best. Our stylists also recommend bringing along shoes at a similar heel height you plan to wear on your wedding day so that you’ll be able to see exactly the veil length against where the hem will sit.
Choosing a wedding veil to suit your gown
Length is the first decision, but a veil only looks like it belongs with your gown when the lace, the shade of ivory and the weight of the fabric agree with the dress too, and when the end of the veil sits sensibly against your train.
Matching lace and ivory
If your dress has lace, a veil edged in a similar pattern reads as part of the gown, while a classic veil over heavy lace leaves the lace of the dress as the focus. Both are options loved by brides, so remember the right choice is always the one you like best.
Ivory isn’t one colour. Designers use warm ivories, cool ivories and soft whites, so bringing photographs or swatches can help us best pair everything under our Hamilton boutique lights.
Tulle, English net and lace veils
Soft bridal tulle drapes close to the body and suits a fitted crepe or satin gown. English net is a little heavier with a softer sheen and holds a fuller shape, which sits well behind a ballgown or a dress with volume in the skirt.
A lace veil, or a tulle veil with a deep lace border, carries the most detail so often we find brides like pairing them with more understated and elegant wedding dress styles.
Veil length and your train
The veil should either finish well short of the end of the train or clear it entirely.
A fingertip veil over a chapel train stops around the hip, a chapel veil lands around the hem, and a cathedral veil should fall a little past the end of the train so the layers read as one line from behind.
Choosing a bridal headpiece for your hairstyle
The headpiece needs to suit the hairstyle you’ve booked as well as your neckline, because the hairstyle decides which pieces will hold in place. Find inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram by all means, but bring the photos with you.
Headpieces for updos
A low bun or chignon gives a comb or a hair vine something to anchor into, and a piece placed above or beside the bun catches the light in photographs taken from behind, which is where your guests see you for most of the ceremony.
Headpieces for hair worn down
Loose waves and half-up styles suit a headband, a slim tiara or a pair of pins pushed in at the crown, because anything heavy will slide as the day goes on. A hair vine threaded through a plait gives you detail without a solid band.
Wearing a headpiece with a veil
A veil and a headpiece usually attach separately, with the veil comb behind or beneath the headpiece, so the veil comes out after the ceremony and the headpiece stays for the reception. Our stylists will show you where each sits so your hairdresser can plan for both.
If you’d rather not wear a veil at all, a bolder headpiece or a set of pearl pins can do the work on their own, and a headpiece by itself suits a relaxed or modern wedding as much as a traditional one.
