Kelsey & Dylan | Lochside House Hotel Wedding

We spoke to bride Kelsey about her Lochside House Hotel Wedding. We find out about how she found shopping for her wedding dress at Bijoux Bridal and she gives her best advice to brides who are new to wedding dress shopping.

How did you find the wedding planning process?

The wedding planning process was stressful! Four weeks after we booked our wedding we found out we were expecting our first baby but everything worked out perfectly in the end.

Were there any wedding suppliers you would recommend?
Every single one of our suppliers were fantastic! It’s important to do a bit of research before booking any suppliers; it pays off.

The wedding suppliers I would recommend are:

Did you hit any hurdles in the wedding planning process?
We made individualised menus for all our guests, with bows from the material of the bridesmaid dresses. Whilst small things like this are nice touches, they’re not actually worth the stress if it’s too much for you. I would say, don’t try to juggle so many things.

How did you find shopping for your wedding dress?
I was initially really nervous about shopping for my wedding dress as I had just had a baby 11 weeks before my first appointment at Bijoux. But the girls were fantastic and actually I was so surprised at how many dresses I loved on.

How did you feel before, during and after your appointment at Bijoux?
I had so many emotions, especially after just having a new baby girl, however finding my dream dress at Bijoux was just the most surreal and incredible experience I could of wished for. My dress was custom made as I changed the original design with the girls help – best decision I made. The girls were so supportive every step of the way. Even when I had a mini meltdown weeks before the wedding – Rebecca the manager and Lynn were like fairy godmothers.

Was the dress you chose, the dress you had imagined you would wear?
The dress was everything and more!! If I could wear my dress every day I would. It was so stunning.

Do you have any advice for a bride-to-be who is searching for her dream dress?
My advice would be to enjoy every second, try on things outside of your comfort zone.  Best piece of advice – if you have any worries girls, don’t have a melt down alone in your car like I did, just know it is a stressful time but your girls will 100% support you and work with you.
